Gallery Night Pensacola Events to Return in 2021

Art and Culture Event Continues to Monitor Health Situation,

Planning Virtual Events Through 2020

PENSACOLA, FL – November 22, 2020 – Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Gallery Night Pensacola will  not be holding in-person events for reasons of community safety for the remainder of 2020. Gallery Night  Pensacola will continue to host virtual events, including Artists Talks, to provide a safe alternative for  Gallery Night fans, supporters, sponsors and merchants.

Since March 2020, Gallery Night Pensacola has been on hold due to city, state and restrictions  surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic. The City announced in September that they would begin issuing  event permits on a case-by-case basis and require a detailed COVID-safe plan. Since that change, Gallery Night has reached out to the city for guidance on how an event of our size could be held safely and whether it is advisable.

With this new information, the Gallery Night Board concluded that Gallery Night will not resume events  immediately and will continue to monitor the situation to ensure that event attendees and businesses are  safe.

“While the Gallery Night board is eager to return to what we do best, the scale of our event means we are just not able to return at this time.” said executive director Sydney Robinson. “We will continue to monitor the system, work with the city, and plan to return in early 2021.”

Since Gallery Night events were suspended in March, the Gallery Night Pensacola Board of Directors has worked hard to provide virtual and pop-up events to promote the local artist community and Downtown  Pensacola businesses. For the remainder of 2020, Gallery Night is planning virtual artist talks with local  artists and other interactive art events. So far, Gallery Night has featured artist talks with Dylan Nadsady, Laura Bogan and Sereen Gualtieri.

Please refer to CDC guidelines for more information on COVID-19 and proper precautions to protect  yourself and the public.
