Gallery Night Artists displaying work on Palafox Street in Downtown Pensacola

Visual Arts Association of Northwest Florida

Our Purpose:  To encourage, support and promote activities related to the education, encouragement, and presentation of the visual arts in our community.

For over 20 years the VAA has served as a catalyst to stimulate and promote visual arts in both Escambia and Santa Rosa counties.  Visual Art is an important part of community culture and identity.  Over the years the VAA has obtained and distributed funds to help artists, art students, and art educators keep local visual art programs alive and thriving.

The VAA strives to increase our impact by growing our funding each year.  As we emerge from the disruption of COVID we are pleased to offer fifteen $500 scholarships that will be awarded this fall 2021.  Local working artists, art educators, and students enrolled in a college art program can easily fill out an entry form by September 19 on the VAA website.

One of the scholarships on offer in 2021 is provided by funding from Gallery Night Pensacola.

It is our desire to grow our funding and offer even more annual scholarships and grants in the future.  Individual donations, corporate sponsorship packages, memorial donations, and donated art purchases are just some of the ways our community can help us assist and promote local visual art.
