Recycled art by Reese Foret at Gallery Night Pensacola

Reese Foret

Gallery Night Pensacola’s April featured artist is Reese Foret.

Foret’s ReeceCycledArt is beloved for her affectionate and creative use of recycled materials, such as cutting boxes and labels from a liquor store and turning them into branches for a bird’s nest, or turning an empty sardine can into a charming object de art. Recycling, Foret believes, can also mean revisiting. Foret often weaves ideas and places from years past back into the present, with animals and water among the poignant themes resurfacing in her works.

Reese holds a BA of Fine Arts from Auburn University. She lives in Gulf Breeze, Florida, with her two daughters who inspire her to be the best she can be every day.

Reese works in various media including oil, acrylic, watercolors and mixed-media/collage on canvas and paper.
