Event Focuses on Shopping Local and The Art of Gift Giving
PENSACOLA, Fla. (Nov. 2, 2021) — The Gallery Night Pensacola Board of Directors is pleased to announce the November 19 Gallery Night event, presented by Publix. The November theme celebrates “Friendsgiving,” and the event will kick off the holiday season with a focus on shopping local, the art of gift giving, and coming together with friends and family.
Gallery Night’s November featured artist is CeCe Hines. After moving to Pensacola in 2012 and having met the Plein Air Artist group, Hines joined Quayside Gallery, was involved with Blue Morning Gallery, Perdido Key Artist Gallery, as well as the portrait artist group. Hines has had two solo shows in Artel Gallery and is a member of its Art Study Club. Hines’ work includes a series of ongoing candid portraits of the patrons at CJ’s Diner, located at the corner Garden St. and Pace Boulevard. The portraits on canvas are usually 5”x7” and many of which are on the walls (CJ’s currently displays more than 400 portraits painted by Hines).
Hines says, “I like portraiture because I like people.”
