Featuring expanded artist area and Rainbow Glass Productions
On Friday, November 15 from 5pm-11pm, Gallery Night Pensacola will kick off the holiday season with a “Shop Local for the Holidays” themed event. Art, music, food, hands on activities, a Santa Parade by Winterfest, new expanded artists area and more. This month’s theme encourages patrons to shop local and make holiday purchases from the many galleries, shops, local artisans and more. “When you buy from local artists, galleries, shops and restaurants, you continue to strengthen and support our local economy,” said Sydney Robinson, Gallery Night Pensacola Director. “We want this Gallery Night event to be the start of an amazing holiday shopping season in Downtown Pensacola!”
Gallery Night Pensacola will feature the work of Rainbow Glass Productions. Rainbow Glass Productions is a collaboration by Jamie Estes and Andrew Thompson. Jamie and Andrew first met in 2013 while both blowing glass in school at the Appalachian Center for Craft in Smithville, Tennessee. He knew how to blow glass and she was a freshman with no experience. Quickly, they both noticed the other’s work ethic and teamed up. At first, Andrew had all the technical skill and Jamie had all the creative power. Eventually, both could feed off of one another and grow together. Now, they are a great team and continue to get better and better at their craft. Patrons can see their work and meet them at the featured artist tent located on Palafox St., between Garden and Romana Streets, during the Gallery Night event.
Gallery Night events bring “Art To The Streets” now with the expansion of the artists area, it will now include more 35 fine artists, craftsman, five food trucks, kids activities and live music venues.
