On Friday,  July 16 from 5pm-9pm , Gallery Night Pensacola will once again close Palafox Street (from Garden Street to Main Street) in Downtown Pensacola and provide open streets for patrons to explore and enjoy music, art, food and more. The July Gallery Night Pensacola event will be dedicated to Pensacola’s Heritage. The July event also celebrates the return of this popular art, music and cultural event to Downtown Pensacola.

Gallery Night July 16 is presented by Publix, special thanks to our presenting sponsor for their support.

This month’s featured artist is Kristen Regan. Ms. Regan received a Master of Fine Art degree at Savannah College of Art and Design and a Bachelor of Fine Art degree in Photography from the School of Visual Arts in New York. She is currently an Associate Professor of Photography at the Anna Lamar Switzer Center for Visual Arts at Pensacola State College.  Her work has been published in national and international publications as well as several photographic catalogs. She has had numerous solo and two-person exhibitions and has been featured in galleries across the country from New York to Puerto Rico.  Over the years travel has been a driving force in her work. She has traveled extensively through Europe as well as to India, Egypt, and Venezuela. In recent years her work has focused on environmental issues associated with plastic pollution.

Meet Kristen and see her work at the featured artist tent that will be located on Palafox Street between Romana and Garden streets.

Gallery Night events bring “Art To The Streets” with up to 30 fine artists, craftsman, four food trucks, and live music venues. Artistic mediums to include glass, paint, woodworking, jewelry, and mixed media. In addition to arts and activities, downtown restaurants, galleries and shops will be open extended hours encouraging patrons to come and explore our award winning downtown.

The Youth Music Project stage, sponsored by Stevenson Klotz, will showcase young musical talent starting at 5pm and the Vista Event Garden Street stage, sponsored by Bob Tyler Toyota, DR Horton Homes and Wild Greg’s Saloon, will get kicked off at 6:30pm. The Garden Street stage will be located at the intersection of Palafox and Garden Streets. Additional activities also include the “Legal Graffiti” event, sponsored by Zarzaur Law, P.A.
